BY BRIAN FRIEL

Having lost her sight as a child, Molly Sweeney loves her tactile world. When her hopeful husband and ambitious doctor offer to restore her sight, Molly and those around her begin to grasp that seeing isn’t understanding. Brian Friel, Ireland’s master storyteller, brings us a riveting contemporary drama about the consequences of medical miracles.

Through a journey of memory, hope and despair, the play begs us to not only see, but also understand other people’s points of view.
